Seed is about as close to ITP-dining as you can expect to find in this neck of the woods. Nice ambience, FANTASTIC service, & a menu with something for everyone. That said, some of the items are overpriced for what they are, most notably, the award-winning grit fritters. $13 for 4 ping-pong sized GRIT fritters. The sauce overpowers the dish & the ingredients & the taste doesn t justify the price no matter the award. Skip it. The chicken tacos are another dish, while tasty, are overpriced for 3 bite sized tacos. Had there been 4, easily split between 2 people, I probably would forgive the price point. The roasted beet salad was delicious & a surprising highlight of the meal. Deviled eggs reminded me of an everything bagel & lox , it was a nice twist. Shrimp sambal was tasty but not memorable. Good but not memorable pretty much sums up my experience with Seed. Had this been an ITP restaurant, I probably wouldn t frequent it. Because the selection of non-franchise restaurants is pretty miserable in East Cobb, Seed remains a solid dining option when we want to stay close to home.
