I feel sorry for those who don't know about the C.U.B. When I first moved to Chicago 15 years ago, I bought a new condo. The builder simply cancelled all utilities instead of transferring them to my name.
It was a very cold winter. I had no heat. Peoples Gas put me on THEIR schedule, weeks into the future. Needless to say, me and my newly constructed home would've reached freezing temps by the time they would've arrived.
I bought an $80 space heater and slept with it in the bathroom to not freeze to death.

I was desperate for heat. I happened upon this group and within hours I had heat.
I don't know how they do what they do, but they are saints.
