It must be seen if you came in Crete. I suggest you to buy the double ticket: Heraklion Archeological Museum + Knosso Palace(16 , 8 for students), for two reasons: First, buying the ticket at Heraklion Museum it's faster than spending 3 hours in queue at Knosso's tickets office. Second, at Heraklion you will have the possibility to better understand the history, functions, structures of Knosso Palace.

This archeological site has been brought to light from sir A. Evans in early '900. He also tried to reconstruct some parts with an extensive use of concrete.

Given the hot daylight it should be better to visit the Palace during the late afternoon.
