Went today to buy a plant. There were signs all around the area the plant was in saying they were on sale 30% off. I went to the check out and when they rang up full price I told them about the sale. The cashier called back to the outside area asking if they were on sale and was told no. I was told I must have read the wrong sign. I offered to go out and bring back one of the signs. I went ahead with the purchase, it is for my mothers 89th birthday, and put the plant in my car. I know I can read and the whole incident bothered me so I went back out to the area, all the signs were gone, the person who had helped me earlier was standing there with a handful of folded up papers which he stuffed in his pocket when he saw me.
