So my and husband and I bought a house 3/2019 and there was issue with the house that we didn t see on walk through like my door frame in master bedroom bathroom doors will not shut. Granite countertop installed and the second day in the home the countertop changed colors I called and they told me to put it on the twelve week inspection done! Patio door to the house will not lock called and they had to come out numerous times to fix my door couldn t lock my door to my house brand new Now. Took them over two months to fix the floors in my foyer when they finally came out they installed the floors and Didn't fix the panel pieces on the side left them unpainted I let that slide. Couldn t cut my kitchen lights on in the kitchen when we finally moved in weeks later mind you it was light when we did walk through had to have electrician come back out and rewire my kitchen and I let that slide. Now we get to the 12 weeks inspection schedule me two months later and then missed the appointment reschedule another three weeks later at home and waiting on warranty guy I get a note on my door saying I missed him no phone call to state he was at the house to see if we was home cars in driveway etc. Now the granite countertops will not be covered because I put a Hot Pot on the countertop. Really I Never put a hot pot on any countertop but I do know that granite is not suppose to change colors or stain if install correctly I have had granite counters top before never had a problem. So to all you inspiring buyers please please take your time in the walk through Don t sign any papers until the work get done because after that you just a number to them. I know it s not me because my neighbors has had similar issue with getting work done after you close and warranty book what is that I didn t even get one until after I close nothing was filled out mild you everyone that worked on my house and construction inspector is No longer with Chesapeake homes so now it there words against mine get everything in writing I don t care how little it is! Go to talk to the agent at the model Nicole she tells me she should be helping me no way! Make sure you have you stuff in writing!!!
