I will start by saying everyone that I encountered...

I will start by saying everyone that I encountered that worked at the hotel was incredibly friendly BUT I just don't think that justifies how much is charged per night on a busy weekend (nearly $400 per night when I was there).

I checked into my room which was decently clean but we found a cockroach in the bathroom. I understand it's Texas and bugs just find their way places, and when we mentioned it to the front desk, the girl asked if we wanted house keeping to clean it up or if we wanted another room. We said we had already killed the cockroach and didn't need to switch rooms. She then mentioned giving us a room upgrade, but it was clear on the other side of the resort and several floors up, a good trek with all of our belongings. We agreed on the upgrade and were extremely disappointed when we moved all our stuff to the opposite side of the resort only to find it was the exact same room type. Not only that, but the room next to us sounded like it had five children in it that were screaming and very loud all the way past 11pm and again at 7am.

Next, the pool area of this resort is beautiful and spacious. The two days we were there it was cooler in temperature, low 80s perhaps. It would have been the perfect day for the hot tub... only to find out the heat and jets had been turned off in them for some unknown reason. We thought to ourselves that it would be great to float the lazy river then and enjoy some drinks only to see that the cocktails were $17+ EACH which is absolutely ridiculous.

That night, we went to eat at the High Velocity restaurant. We ordered an 8-piece count of chicken tenders (coming in at $17.32), waited a long time for them to arrive, and they looked/tasted like Tyson chicken tenders out of the freezer. Definitely not "Off the Grill" like the menu claims. They weren't even warm. How is this acceptable for the prices they charge???

Finally, after attempting to take some leftovers back to our room since we paid a ridiculous amount for food, we discovered that there aren't any microwaves in the room. I'm sure this is to force guests to continue paying for their subpar, expensive food.

I'm very disappointed overall after paying so much to stay at a "resort." Save yourself the money and stay somewhere else.
