A hidden gem, in all respects. First, the grilled calamari is perfect: just the right amount of burn, not a hint of rubberyness, and a fantastic tomato/garlic salsa.I've had it both times I've been. Also had a delicious baked spicy sausage penne...and all dishes are served with a mini-loaf of daily-baked (from the bakery next door) calabrese bread. The service is friendly, engaging and natural, which is what you want in a place like this, with TVs everywhere. One thing, this place is always noisy, partly because it's always busy, partly because if the open design. But this is as good as it gets for the kind of place it is.
