My famil and I stayed at the Sofitel The Palm Resort & Spa in March 2016 and had a great all round experience. Throughout our two week stay we were very well looked after and the staff were excellent which is why we are returning again in July this year!
We returned in July 2017 knowing full well the temperatures can rise above 50 degrees! Yes, it's cheaper at this time of year as as long as you can bare the heat it is still a wonderful experience. This visit was partly about business too and getting around to various appointments was easy, even to Abu Dhabi.
This time we did not have an apartment but one of the hotels family suits which worked quite well for us despite no kitchen or washing machine! The hotel laundry service is very expensive but we have discovered an external laundry service! I am sure that future visits will revolve around an apartment and savings can be made on doing your own laundry and some cooking. Will keep you posted.
