Despite booking our hotel months in advance, when we arrived to check in, we were informed that the hotel was fully booked. There didn't seem to be much sympathy about the issue and we weren't the only people with the problem. When we asked what had happened the response was a simple "it's a busy weekend" and sat in the lobby for about an hour being ignored by the staff. I understand that mistakes happen and that sometimes you end up working a shift when issues like this arise. That doesn't excuse the poor response from the staff. I was really looking forward to staying at this hotel and had planned my entire trip around this location. Instead, we had to frantically figure out where we would end up staying during a busy weekend in the city. Really not impressed.
