This place is amazing. They save lives. Of course not everyone's experience will be the same but in a short period of time I went from a huge mass to no cancer.
My oncologist, Dr. Sinno, is very knowledgeable and caring and as a gynecologist he has a very gentle hand. Although he does have a team of interns and residents that work with him, it has always been clear to me that he makes all the decisions.
The nurses at CTU are wonderful. Although you get a different one each time and they each work differently, they all take good care of you. This is especially true now that, due to COVID 19, patients are not allowed to bring a companion.
The staff in radiology is very attentive to your comfort during the procedures. So far I've had 2 CT scans there and they've always explained everything and made sure I was okay. Don't worry about the order in which they call patients. Remember that some people might be there for a different test than you. You will be called in a timely manner.
My favorite thing is that whether it's a visit to the doctor, CTU or radiology, if you arrive early they will take you in whenever you arrive. I have hardly ever had to wait a long time except at CTU and that's normal as you have to wait for your doctor to review the labs.
I highly recommend UM and Sylvester Cancer Treatment Center.
