This convention center is not the best. Despite looking new and being fairly well designed, the staff and surrounding environment leave much to be desired. I saw employees sleeping in public areas, playing games on their phones, in filthy uniforms passing food and bartenders openly soliciting tips during planned events where tips were included. There is an overall lack of work ethic within the staff.

Coming and going to this convention center is downright scary. There are homeless people sheltering around entrances, defacating on sidewalks and doing drugs openly. It doesn't feel safe.

Finally, unions have a stronghold here, making things more complicated and expensive all around.
