I have visited family twice in Birmingham and both times I have visited the wildlife center. Neither time was I disappointed. This last time we went, we got to see a great horned owl and a barred owl up close. The handlers were so knowledgeable about the species and answered any question we had. This rehabilitation center takes in over 800 birds a year and relies on donations to run. I would recommend this place to anyone that is interested in birds! They have indoor and outdoor flight cages. The day we were there, they had 8 raptors in the outdoor flight cage, some getting ready to be released. Inside the center, they have a nursery where you can see baby birds being fed and areas that have educational videos and exhibits.
