We ate at Alinea on September 23, 2017. It is definitely an experience. The food was great. You are indeed paying for the experience and the artistry.

The hospitality was not as warm as Grace, Central and other Michelin Star places we have been to, but that may be the vibe their cultivating. The server dropped hot water on my husbands pants and scurried away, not much was done to at least appear apologetic which was weird for such a nice place. Perhaps we got the B team, or it was a bad day.

I am not sure we would want to keep going back like other places we have been to, but would still recommend the place for the experience with the food. I think it is worth doing it once.
