Review of The Third Space

I've been a member for about 3 months now so here's my review broken-down by the areas I use and have observed:

> Classes: 5/5 - Based on the classes I've attended they've been good, the circuit training in "The Yard" is especially worthwhile and well organised.

> Pool: 4/5 - It's not an amazing pool (size or depth wise), however, it's rarely too busy so warrants a good score.

> Sauna: 5/5 - There's a wet and dry sauna which are both great.

> Staff: 5/5 - I haven't had to engage on too many occasions but when I have they have been friendly.

> Members: 3/5 - There's a lack of etiquette with basics such as putting towels/weights back, instead they are left behind for other members to clear up; the maintenance staff do a great job but can't be expected to be everywhere to clear up wet towels littering the sauna, showers, changing room and pool.

> Combat zone: 2/5 - The Combat Zone has recently been downgraded to a smaller space and certainly doesn't live up to the hype I was sold at joining time, the previous zone was larger and had basics such as mirrors (for shadow boxing), moreover, the punching mitts (for boxing) are poor quality and difficult to use when you're wearing hand wraps, however, the Muay Thai pads are decent. Lastly, the training bags are average and if you're trying to get into kickboxing then they are very unforgiving on your shins, there needs to be at least one bag more suited for kicking. In summary, if you're interested in boxing/muay thai then you'll probably want to join another gym (even Gym Box).

> Weights /training area: 5/5 - spacious and loads of equipment, one annoyance: there isn't a standard weight measurement and they mix between imperial and metric!

** General feedback to management ** I've enjoyed my time since joining but some simple fixes would improve your gym and make it 5 stars: encourage members to respect others and put away towels/weights (better signage, send an email), only use metric weight measurement (or label the conversion), improve the Combat Zone; this has been a major disappointment - get some mirrors, decent punching mitts, better training bags.
