Really unfortunate experience. Went there to try out the chairs we wanted. We were very willing to putchase from the sales person and even add on their 5yr full protection plan that helps the sales commissions.

However, Lazboy charges 169 dollars for local delivery. Absolutely a rip off. A 50lb 450 dollar chair doesnt merit a 169 dollar local delivery fee.

Initially the saleswoman offered to remove the charge and let us pick up from Lazboy warehouse in Bollingbrook, but then readded the charge last minute with her manager insisting that we had to pay 169 dollars to have a chair delivered.

So what did we do?

Went on Amazon. Found Lazboy. Found exact same chair. Exact same price. But free shipping.

This is why brick and mortar stores are under threat. You try to rip off people using local delivery as a profit center and try to charge 40% of the cost of the product to deliver it.

How is it that Amazon can deliver the EXACT same chair at the same price with no shipping but Lazboy needs 169$ to bring it to my house.....ridiculous.
