The hotel is a 15 minute walk from the Rockport Shao-Lin music center and this is the primary reason it was selected. The hotels public spaces (lobby, swimming pool, fire pit area, breakfast, room) are reminiscent of a Hampton Inn. The room was clean but I prefer a stall shower. The shower head did not appear to be adjustable which I would have given an additional star for. The mini refrigerator compressor was a bit annoying but did not make noise all night. The pillows are very flat and the mattress is a bit soft. If you are driving there from home bring your own pillows if you want adequate support. The highlight is the staff who are extremely friendly and helpful.
