They had a pier full of historic ships to board and walk around. The staff was working on the boats and were very happy to show anyone around and answer questions. It was a real travel in time to be on old sailboats that would go around the horn with tons of cargo in the hold. There were not many people there, and usually the captain's quarters, crew bunks, the tiller and cargo areas were open to view and were well lit. If you have a national park pass I think it was free.
