Carfax is a lie! It does not disclosure all the history of the car and the "BuyBack" warranty is fake too! I trusted Carfax and bought it before purchasing my car to discover a month later it had a crash not reported on Carfax. Since I paid for the report, I tried the customer service, which took TWO months to answer my email, to use the "BuyBack" but I present to you what they wrote me with their exact words as: "Accident and damage records are reported to CARFAX from thousands of sources, including police departments, repair shops, and insurance companies. However, not all information is available to CARFAX when a CARFAX Report is run because not all sources choose to work with us. If an incident is on file with a source that does not report to CARFAX, we have no way of knowing about it...If you feel that this vehicle was misrepresented to you, you may wish to contact the vehicle seller for resolution. There may also be third-party resolution organizations familiar with these types of disputes, and you can also check with your DMV regarding your state's disclosure laws."
Please, do NOT spend your money with this fake Carfax report!! Instead use this money to pay for a pre-purchase vehicle inspection that really will make you feel secure and sure about what car you are buying!
