I have to vent my anger at this point.
About 14 days ago I gave up our Mini Cooper Cabriolet because of a problem with the folding roof mechanism in the workshop.
I have already pointed out from my side that it is a torn drive shaft of the folding roof mechanism (left-hand side). Since I work for over 20 years in the BMW plant in the mechanical maintenance, I'm already a certain 'eye' to have a 'damage picture' ..
Nevertheless, the workshop wanted to make its own diagnosis - which is probably also legitimate. Cost 147 ! And unscrew it for a plastic fairing part (1 Torx screw!), And then see that this drive shaft is actually broken ...

My hint that in all! Official mini-forums said that in 99% of cases, only this drive shaft must be replaced, was simply ignored by the service MA! After that, I picked up the car again and paid the diagnostic costs.
After a search on the Internet, I then found a saddlery specialist, this repair for 6 0 0 including material! has done and it all works well again ...... BMW customer service .... ???? ... Shameful, more is not a ..
