We wanted to add an annual service contract on our 11 year old systems to keep them well maintained. Gold Star's first available appointment was 3 weeks out, which we took. They called the day before our appt and said they needed to reschedule due to the high number of air conditioning emergencies ( the temps were 50 degrees at the time). Our second appointment was scheduled for 2 weeks later, which was yesterday between 9am-12pm. We received a call around 1045am and was told due to the high number of service calls they were running a little late, but they had several technicians in the area so it wouldn't be too much longer. At 240pm they called back and said they are still backed up and offered to reschedule the appt. I said you cancelled on us last appointment, and she said we're not cancelling but we don't know how late we'll be. I told her we were waiting since 9am and if she couldn't have someone to our house by 340 we were not interested in doing our hvac business with Gold Star because they are unreliable. They obviously don't have enough technician to support their accounts. We planned on purchasing a 3 year agreement which we are glad we found out about their poor service and unavailability prior to having a problem or paying for their service.
