Review of The Porch at Schenley

First off, if you do not live near the porch do not expect to find parking close by. The place was moderately busy on the day of my visit but you'd think you were in the high school cafeteria, it was obnoxiously loud. We were promptly sat, but our waitress was busy taking care of a table outside yet we were inside (bad move on management's part) therefore it took her a bit to get to us. We had plenty of time to figure out our meal & drink selections in the time we waited for our server (again, not her fault). We joyously ordered our $8 beverages we thought would best compliment the meals we had chosen. The drinks were brought to us promptly by our waitress who then took our meal order. After 5 minutes a group sat at the table beside us and had their meals ordered and drinks in front of them in 4 minutes total time. They had also received bread with their drinks which was never offered or brought to us. After 15 minutes from the time we ordered our brunch burger and french toast we were greated by a manager to let us know that the French Toast we ordered had run out. It should not take 15 minutes to realize you are out of french toast especially when you have brought bread (main ingredient to French toast) to every table except ours. Disgusted by this we let the manager know that we would rather take our business elsewhere. The manager made no effort to resolve the issue at hand and simply walked away after informing him of our decision to leave. We were shockingly charged for the two $8 beverages which had been ordered based on our meal selections.
