We stayed at Couples Swept Away in Negril from February 8th 2019 through February 16th 2019.
Over the past 20 years I have seen this property decline in both service and accommodations. Our most recent stay was ruined by the noise from a neighboring Disco playing loud music from around 9:00pm until 2 a.m. every morning. I phoned the front desk and was told there's nothing they can do about the noise. I will not come back to Negril for this reason. The entire coastline resonates with a BOOM BOOM BOOM! and is negatively affected by this LOUD BASS NOISE. Its like the noise you hear from a car which pulls up beside you at a red light and you cant hear your radio over their vibrating bass rap music. To make it worse however, in this case, you are trying to sleep. Unless the Government of Jamaica steps in and stops this Noise Nuisance it will not stop in my humble opinion. We were unable to sleep without earplugs. You can't hear the ocean and natures tropical sounds at night because of RAP music.
We were very disappointed and angry after spending a ton of money on what we thought would be filled with romantic nights ruined by loud annoying bass until 2:00 am every morning. BEWARE! YOU WILL NOT BE INFORMED OF THIS NOISE BUT YOU WILL LIVE WITH IT!!! EVERY NIGHT!!!
