Avoid, avoid like the plague. Run so far away. Drive to Charlotte, Greensboro, or Fayetteville, Worse than O'Hare at its worst. The machines are always broken; the parking is completely foobar. Just drive a little farther and save yourself a lot of hardship.

The security officers are really homophobic twits. 4 or 5 cars in front of me with nice heterosexual people stayed about 4X as long as I did in the pick up lane (where, by the way, I was blocked in by an elderly couple in a handicapped van). Who got a ticket? Oh, yes, the gay guy.

Go to Charlotte, PTI, Fayetteville. Check my reviews: I've only given one star once before out of about 50 reviews. I have really tried to give this airport a fair shake since it's only 15 minutes from the house, but it is hands down just the worst airport I have ever flown from or to.

Do not fly in or out of this place.

Appeal process for a bogus, homophobic traffic ticket gets no response for over 4 days. Documentation submitted is ignored. Complaints and appeals are ignored. Everyone is rude or just ignores you. Just go, go, go elsewhere.

If you're a straight couple, decent place for you, especially if you have kids. If not, just run. Feels like I'm back in Deep East Texas these days at RDU. Barry Goldwater says what? "Go to RDU, it's cool!"

OH, and hopefully these guys haven't read the FAA Airport Compliance guidelines.
