Sad to say that I had the most unpleasant experience at Yasuda. I was an hour early, arriving at 8:30pm when the host was rude and unaccommodating, stating that I would have to wait an hour for my original reservation at 9:30pm. I asked if there was anything available earlier and he shouted at me in front of 5-7 guests who were waiting for their table, that he would just cancel the reservation then. I am not one to be sacred away by his loud tone so I asked for the manager and he said that he was the manager. Why would the manager be checking in guests? Then after persisting he finally tells me he has a table available in 20 minutes. Why couldn t he just accommodate me in the beginning without being so nasty? I m sorry but there are way too many good sushi places in NYC to be treated this way.

I am appalled at the service, professionalism and attitude of this man.
