I brought my 2005 elantra in because the check engine light and air bag light were on and when I went to my regular mechanic for oil change and sticker was told to take to Hyundai dealer because of what their diagnostic codes detailed. I made an appointment for Thursday April 11, 2013 at 10:15 am.
Dropped my car off early, Stephanie was intake person information given as well as paperwork from my regular mechanic was shown to her.
Stephanie contacted me about what was found and the expected cost of repairs close to $2800 I deferred this action at this time mostly because of finances, I would then come and get my car.
I come to get my car Rick helped with the paperwork and explained the findings again and gave me a copy of the findings with charges for work if done also the charges for the 2 diagnostic evaluations and the replacement bulb for rear license plate. Bill total was $167.33, which I used my debit card to pay in full. In the meantime the lot person had gone to retrieve my car, which as he approached the front of service, I could hear this loud muffler noise. At that point I turned to Rick and asked him what was up because this was not how I left my vehicle! Just shrugged his shoulders and proceeded to answer telephone. I was driving this vehicle which was bringing some attention to me because of the noise. I called the service desk and spoke with Rick as Stephanie away from desk, explained my disappointment in the handling of my car, questioned the noise, Rick stated while car up on lift some rust might have come off causing this loud noise, this is not acceptable. I then called for the service manager and was told that for him to put his input I would have to bring my car back for him to personally check out the problem. This is still unacceptable. You caused the noise to occur I feel Gary Rome should fixed it!
