The only thing good about this hotel was it had a bed to sleep in. I arranged a bottle of prosecco to go in the room for when we arrived, and told them what time we would arrive to check in. When we arrived the girl at reception wasn't welcoming at all and told us it was to early to check in- she didn't offer us to go and use the sauna or hot tub, or offer us anywhere to go for lunch. We felt the conference and wedding in the hotel was more important as during our check in a business client skipped the line to talk to her and she carried on helping him and even spoke to him by name! You must have to pay alot more than we did to get good service there... When we arrived back to check in, we got to the room and the prosecco wasn't even cold as it was sitting in a bucket of water that had leaked all over the table from condensation. There was hairs on the bathroom floor which made it obvious the floor hasn't been mopped and the room was very old, in need of a pick me up- the lamp shades were falling apart and the room just old. The t.v. remote didn't work so we turned off the t.v. by the power switch at the door. Definitely not good value for money, considering we paid 185 for bed and breakfast. We went for dinner in Coast restaurant where I had the brie as a starter. It arrivee after literally 3 minutes, had to send it back as it was cold in the middle. My husband had finished his starter by the time i got a replacement brie which was still not they way it should be. Our mains were Okay, but nothing special or amazing by any means. Following dinner we went to Matt Ryans bar in the hotel for drinks- no atmosphere. We were watching the golf, when suddenly the 'box went off' and couldn't be fixed. This was the end of our night. Breakfast the next morning wasn't anything to write home about- I could get that fry from a chippy down the road. All in all the hotel is need need of a refurb, it's old and warn. The value for money wasn't there. We paid what I felt was alot for what we got. We won't be back. The website was very misleading.
