This in an edit to my original review, which didn't say neat enough:
We are from Central Illinois, where all we hear are bad things about Chicago. But if everybody in Chicago is as nice a friendly and neighborly as George and his staff at the Palace, then all those bad things we hear can be put to rest. The staff at the palace was super nice, very efficient and knowledgeable, and hard-working. George himself shook my hand as I was leaving, and thanked me for stopping by. It truly made me feel like I've been his neighbor for years.
Now, a word about the food: I travel a lot, and I've had a lot of gyros. Lemme tell ya, The Palace does it RIGHT! And there aren't enough words to describe the tzatziki sauce. It was phenomenal!
To George and everyone else at the Palace: Thank you for the great atmosphere and the great food. The Palace will be our go-to whenever we are in town for Blackhawks games!
