This use to be a great company to work for. Structural use to actually listen to the ideas of their employees and tried to create a great work environment for everyone involved, like they actually cared about the employees. People use to start their work day ready to go and time would fly by because they enjoyed their job. That's long gone now...employee morale is absolutely horrible and the idea of cooperation is gone. Members of management will try to make changes to production that fail and turn around and throw their own workers "under the bus" just to save their own jobs. No one feels safe working for Structural anymore and a majority of the work force believes that either a Union will be created soon or the doors will close due to a list of unhappy customers because of the changes caused by the sale of the company and the restructuring of management. When Michigan's lockdown originally started back in March, Structural employees were told they needed to drop to 32 hour weeks (Working four, 8 hour days) because they did not have the orders to keep everyone working 40 hours a week which led to a layoff of over 55 employees. The following week, employees were then mandated to work 58 hours, 6 days a week, for close to 9 months straight DURING A WORLDWIDE PANDEMIC! This company use to treat employees as people, like family. Now it seems employees are just disposable clock numbers...
