I lived in Point Pleasant for a long time, and I never really enjoyed going to Jenkinson's. I don't think many of the locals do, actually. It's noisy and everything is super expensive, an atmosphere that trickles into the surrounding community as well. That being said, Jenkinson's *is* the economy of Point Pleasant, and families have been going there for generations. Who am I to argue?

Well, since moving a few towns away, I can safely say there is a LOT more to argue with than there used to be. The physical boardwalk itself is definitely over capacity. Where Jenkinson's used to be a somewhat calmer alternative to Seaside, it's now regularly packed from end to end like a New York subway car. All of the fair games at the arcades have finally, albeit it was inevitable, replaced with rigged fixed payout games, be it cranes or anything else. Oh, also, be ready to hear a lot of casual r4cism from the locals! The things I heard walking through the neighborhood last time I was there, yikes!
