Heartland for Children ripped my family apart, They do not have children's best interest at hand, because I'm a young African Americans women they denied me the opportunity to care for my 2 younger siblings and placed them with a caucasian couple, I work, I'm licensed in childcare, I have my own place and I do quite well for myself but because I'm not married to a police officer and my skin is not the right color I was looked down apon as less capable to care for my own flesh and blood which is heartbreaking, knowing that you can do everything right and still not be worthy based on circumstances beyond your control. My mother passed away in January and my siblings foster parents refuse to let me have any communication with my siblings not even a simple phone conversation. I try to stay positive about the situation telling myself that when they turn 18 I'll get to reunite with them. I feel that Heartland for Children could have at least set up required visition with me and my family so that my siblings don't have to grow up there entire life not knowly that they have people in this world that love and care for them, do to there negligence we have been totally annihilated out of these innocent kids life.
