Had an intermittent pwr loss to my turbo in a 2006 freightliner Columbia. I also was looking to have a battery disconnect installed. Called the service dept and explained what I wanted. I asked if they thought that if I brought my truck in early on wed, if it might be done by Friday.

I was told that would seem reasonable but no promise was made. Fair enough. I made hotel arrangements thru sat and dropped it off wed by noon.

Not one phone call. Nothing to give me any idea of what was found or costs. Waited till Friday morning and called at 9am. Was told that they found a small leak and repaired it fixing the pwr loss and we're going to do the battery disconnect next.

Called back @ 4pm and was told same thing but now the disconnect wouldn't be done until Monday.....say what?

I went and got my truck.

My issues: no phone calls at all, they had my truck for over 48hrs and beyond a simple repair parked my truck on Thursday after they test drove it (according to eld.) They left me in on duty status (-21hrs no legal he's to drive.) Had to jump thru hoops to get that changed just to drive off the property.

I found this entire ordeal very disrespectful since I made sure that they could have has much time as needed based on what was found. However since they couldn't be bothered to call me at anytime between wed and Friday afternoon to advise me of anything and now learning that the turbo repair was so minor but they couldn't complete the disconnect (which is a simple wiring job) and just left my truck sitting there like the rest of my request was unimportant.

I picked up my truck and left, I will never use this freightliner again.
