I have had a very terrible experience with Safelite. I found a small chip on my windshield and reported it to my insurance Geico, and then Geico hired Safelite to seal the chip as the size was way less than a dollar bill. The Safelite technician came and used the machine, but during the procedure, the small chip became a large crack spanning through the middle of my windshield, and then they recommended me replacing my windshield for close to 279 dollars! Pretty absurd to begin with as I did not crack it, and the chip was so small, there is no way it would not have developed as a crack for at least another 3 years contrary to what their manager believes. I tried negotiating with the manager to bring to at least
150 dollars to share burden, but he would not budge from the price of about 200 dollars( 80 dollars is what he wanted to discount). This is quite frustrating because, first of all, I did not cause the crack, and then they want me to pay for the replacement, where this should be something they should take care of and replace for free! Completely unsatisfactory customer service. I do not recommend using their services
