Hello,
I don't know if the channel is the right one but I needed to communicate to Veratour what happened during our vacation that we recently spent at the Veraresort Thavorn Palm beach in Phuket in Thailand, and a complaints office is not present on the Veratour website.
We are a group of 4 people who booked in February 2019 a trip to Thailand from 10/11/2019 to 11/22/2019 with two stops in Bangkok at the Pullmann G Hotel and the second at the Thavorn Palm beach in Phuket with club formula, to celebrate our 25 years of marriage.
Unfortunately we are very sorry for the inconveniences we had to face during our stay from 11/14/2019 to 11/21/2019 at the Thavorn Palm beach in Phuket ..
Honestly, having booked with Veratour, we expected a more careful holiday in detail, given the fame it enjoys, unfortunately it was not so for us; because in the structure there was no relaxation for which we were destined because the noisy works of continuous building and gardening maintenance inside the structure caused us a continuous and not indifferent auditory disturbance, hindering our rest.
Perhaps Veratour did not know about these jobs but he disturbed us a lot.
As far as catering is concerned, it turned out to be very bad, in contrast to what has been bragged in the catalog, even the Italian chef was absent only on the penultimate day (at the end of the holiday). We found the daily reception of the catering staff not up to par, given that at dinner time we often saw ourselves forced to lay the table because the staff did not carry out the preparation of the tables in time (8:00 pm) ). The food was almost the same with the same dishes revisited for both lunch and dinner as well as being mainly local and not very international, among other things the Italian dishes of choice that we moreover had as Veratour customers, were delivered to us at the end of the meal, after coffee. The Veratour staff present on site tried to assist us, but with little result. Among the Italian groups Veratour present on the spot ran the same complaints every time they went to the table.
Then, the two restaurants promised in the contract really were not there, only one was present and working for us Veratour customers only once a week by reservation. The errata corrige attesting to the presence of only one restaurant we received one week before departure, on a trip that we had booked and blocked in February 2019. Not to mention the excursions booked inside the structure from the Veratour headquarters, excessively expensive compared to those booked outside having the same requirements. in short it seems to me a little too much. However the rest of the holiday went well but Veratour should pamper its customers by placing a greater degree of attention on these things that are fundamental for us Italians: food and relaxation. I don't know if we will choose Veratour again, for now we are just annoyed and disappointed with a holiday that was supposed to be a blaze of satisfaction and instead proved to be tiring.
Among other things during our stay in the structure we immediately contacted our agent in Rome to inform him of our discomfort as well as having exposed him to the Veratour representatives on site who were unable to answer us appropriately and comprehensively.
