In a word, disappointed. After years of this icon being our go to for family functions, afraid we will have to give it a miss in future. After waiting nearly two hours for mains, poor service (had to ask multiple times for drinks, pour our own wine and water, and ask to order food) our group of 14 left with excuses from the staff and chef that we should have had a set menu - "Saturday nights are busy". Shame no one told us that when we booked. And to charge $1.50 "cakeage" charge per person simply to use their plates after cutting and serving the cake ourselves - ridiculous! Very disappointing Continental Cafe - you have lost some very loyal customers tonight. Having said all that, the food was good, as always. Your service was what let you down - big time.
