We were going to book the Avon for our wedding venue and were very enamored with the venue itself and the location. Unfortunately, we ended up feeling like the staff did everything to dissuade us from booking our wedding there, and ultimately we were left with no choice but to back out. There was no dedicated wedding coordinator, every enquiry we had took a week or more to hear back, usually without acknowledgement of our enquiry. Managers were in charge of wedding enquiries but were too busy dealing with other aspects of the hotel and left us feeling like they weren't interested in hosting our wedding at all. At the same time other venues we enquired at were chasing us down to try and win our business, the contrast was so stark. We ended up walking away after wanting to sign the contract as even then it took them 6 days to come back to us, and didn't even provide us the contract at that point. We didn't feel we could trust them with our big day and it caused us so much stress trying to deal with them. Best decision we made was to walk away.
