I took my father into the emergency room today at around 4 pm. He fell and hit his head and back. He is an elderly dialysis patient with congestive heart failure and diabetes. After he was brought back to his room I went back there. I could hear him hollering for help while the nurse sat literally not even ten feet away from where he was laying. The nurses name is Hydie (the staff refused to give me her last name). Then she stood there and laughed and pointed at me with the doctor. They had my father laying flat on his back and he couldn't breathe. She ignored him until I went off on her and had the doctor come. Then she said she couldn't find his chest ray records even though I could see them clear as day on the computer screen. I had to point them out to her. Then she lied to a police officer and said I threatened her. Which was a blatant lie. I never cursed or threatened. She told this lie because I had already said I was filling a complaint. And now I can't even go back to see my dad. It's 7:15 and I'm still here in the parking lot. I don't know what this nurses deal is but she has no business being a nurse. This is elderly abuse and she needs to be fired immediately. I plan to take this to the furthest possible level of proper channels. Nobody should be treated like this. Especially considering how much we pay for medical care.
