Patenga beach in Chittagong city of Bangladesh is located at the mouth of Karnafuli river. The port city is located about 14 km south of Chittagong. Patenga is a popular tourist destination in Chittagong city.
The beach was badly damaged in the 1991 cyclone. At present the beach is fenced with cement.
Shah Amanat International Airport and Bangladesh Navy base BNS Isa Khan are located near Patenga. Besides, many jetties of Chittagong port are located here. Work is currently underway on a version to make this beach more spontaneous.
