Bag check at a cinema? Really?

Bag check at a cinema? Really?
I arrived with two children to watch a movie. The lady at the checkout leaned over during checkout to see what was in my bag (she is slightly higher than the customer behind a counter). There she saw a bag of chips.
This was followed by the forced shopping campaign. We were only allowed in if I left the bag at the checkout. Vue cannot demand that at all, but they see two children who want to go to the cinema and then you can afford it. If you put together that way.
There was nothing wrong with the film, we were the only viewers. Of course we have not eaten or drank anything from the Vue range. This nasty film grocer with a serious social handicap does not see us anymore. Watching movies is also possible somewhere else.
