This is my first Toyota. I purchased my 2011 4Runner from Repocast. It came with just one key which was a 'valet' key. I decided to go to Toyota of Grand Rapids to get a key with a fob so I could unlock the Toyota from the passenger side, as I always open the door for my wife and doing so was not possible sans the fob-key. Everyone in the parts department was friendly and Cory got me set up with the fob I needed, then sent me to Service. Bruce, and the other service advisers were a great bunch to deal with. Got my Toyota in and key programmed quickly. The prices of the fob-key and programming were good (compared to what I've seen/heard). Bruce even checked my vehicle's history and gave me a service brochure with his recommended service intervals. Even though I did not purchase my 4Runner at the dealership, I was treated very well. I would recommend Toyota of Grand Rapids.
BTW, I have been employed in the car business in parts, service and new/used car sales. Now retired, I think I would have enjoyed being part of the staff at this dealership.
On Wednesday, April 17, I returned to Toyota of Grand Rapids for an oil change. My service adviser, Ron discovered that there was an air bag recall. He told me that it would take about 2.5 to 3 hours. He offered to schedule me in , at a later date, or they could do it right then. I was planning to wait for the oil change, and I had to plans, so I had it done. I wandered around the dealership, after telling Kyle, the sales manager, I was waiting for my vehicle so as not to waste the sales staff's time by approaching me as I looked around. No matter where I went, every employee I encountered was very friendly.. Ron also gave me a Status Report for my 4Runner. Nice touch.
Twice there. Two times very impressed.
