Disgusted with The Hallmark Mickleover Court Hotel...

Disgusted with The Hallmark Mickleover Court Hotel in Derby, UK -
July 28, 2017, due to an accident on the M40, my partner and I arrived late for check-in at the Hallmark Hotel Derby Mickleover Court. Unfortunately, due to tiredness we didn't check the sheets. The next day we rushed around and got ready for the wedding we were to attend. When we got back that night and I had a weird feeling that the room had not been cleaned and so I pulled back the sheets only to find them stained (see pics attached). We called the front desk to complain, The night manager came by and was rather embarrassed at what he saw when he looked at the bed. He proceeded to change out the sheets himself and offered a complimentary bottle of wine which we accepted . He said that he would report this to the day manager who would definitely be in contact with us in the morning. He stated that he felt that not only did the hotel fail us, but the supervisor for the cleaning staff and etc. also failed us because apparently all beds and rooms are supposed to be checked 3 times to ensure the rooms are cleaned properly before allowing guest to enter the rooms. The next day we checked out and my partner asked to speak with the manager. He was told the manger was not on duty and the front desk clerk felt that the bottle of wine and change of sheets was compensation enough and couldn't understand why we were still complaining and wanted some sort of compensation our stay there. She stated that the sheets had not been changed on the 29th which confirmed that we had slept in soiled sheets on the 28th. She stated that it was our duty to check the sheets upon arrival to make sure that they were clean. Absurb!!!!
Since then my partner has been emailing the manager and managing director and to date have been ignored and have had no compensation. Somehow the management and staff of the hotel feel that it is quite acceptable to sleep in soil sheets. We are quite appalled at the lack of customer service and lack of response we have received. In my opinion we should have been fully refunded and for what is supposed to be a higher end Hotel I would rate it as the lowest I have ever stayed in and certainly would inform ANYONE who was considering staying in the Hallmark Mickleover Court Hotel in Derbyshire to think twice and if you do stay here make sure to check your sheets upon arrival. I don't think anyone appreciates sleeping in someone else's body fluids. Disgusting to say the least! As well if you expect great customer service from the Hallmark hotel management at either level think again because you will be ignored. Maybe they all sleep in stained and dirty sheets in their own homes and expect travelers to also do the same or think that most travelers will not report their ignorance, lack of respect and lack of common courtesy they show their customers.
