We were on Vacation in DC from Canada and took our Daughter to Inova emergency last week with unexplained severe knee pain. Instead of giving her pain killers and sending her home the Dr was determined to find the cause. Within an hour they discovered she had Leukemia. Two hours later at 9:00PM we met with the Hematologist who arranged further tests for the next day. It was three days before her blood levels allowed her to leave and the entire time the staff was wonderful to deal with. The tests done within 24 hours would have taken several weeks in Canada so though it ruined our vacation and will be dealing with the long term effects we were very lucky to have discovered it there. A great organization of helpful people.
