First off I will state this place has the "air of professionalism" and a lot of free-be drinks/snacks/shuttle service... but this is no excuse for AWFUL workmanship to a vehicle. Last time I checked, a dealership should have mechanics on hand, but it seems they only have salesmen these days.

I took my 1991 325ix for an initial inspection after the purchase. I knew of a few issues before I brought it in and requested the drive belt, power steering belt, and timing belt be replaced (which they did)... but it seems that's all they did, and noticed during the $158 inspection!

Here were some of the faulty diagnosis they threw my way:

They said my sway bar bushing was bad and needed a replace ($400), I declined, so I can examine myself.... It wasnt the "sawy bar" bushing that was going bad, but rather the CONTROL ARM bushing, and even then, It isn't in THAT bad of a condition, and the job is CERTAINLY not worth $400!!. Its a 2 bolt job with a $15 part to replace..... I was now starting to doubt the abilities of their "mechanics".

Second, they said the head gasket needed to be replaced (this is a time consuming job, and one I'm willing to pay for) so I agreed to this.... But once the job was done, the papers that came back to me stated "valve cover gasket"... Now, the valve gasket is literally on the SURFACE of the engine... and is a 15 minute job MAX... they charged me $300 for it... I was told HEAD GASKET 3 TIMES via phone. And I even said "Head gasket?! really??" afterwards. It turns out the guy making the calls were never mechanics themselves to begin with... so you could imagine my confusion when the guys would throw out mechanic lingo when they don't even know what it means.

Now for the best part.

Did you know this BMW shop uses Purple rags? I happened to learn this when one of them was left IN THE HOOD OF MY CAR as it got caught in the clutch fan. Yep... these guys seem to REALLY want more work.... enough to where they are willing to TOTALLY ruin your car just so you'd bring it back for more "service". I'm not lying about this one. Ask me for a picture of the rag, ive still got it as a keep sake from this awful stealership.

Then.... as for the "inspection" i received for $158... they either totally missed the missing air filter and didn't mention it, or took it out and never replaced it.... either way, I'm missing the air filter.

Dont do this place. Please. Do not feed these people your hard earned money. Make them work for it. please.
