Staff were friendly, rooms dated and not clean. We have requested another room, this one was also not clean and we have requested a new cleaning service. After this the room was not yet clean. Waste was not disposed of. The 2nd day the bed was not made and no clean cup in the bathroom after we had thrown one away after use. On the balcony there was a bottle from previous guests, we threw it ourselves the 3rd day in the trash, which was not emptied.
What we really blame Hotel Spaander is that there was no response at all from my side after my husband had a heart attack in the room and was picked up with the ambulance.
The only one who asked us about how my husband was doing was Jari (a third-year student) who was present.
Due to the heart attack and admission to the hospital in Amsterdam, we checked out a day earlier, we actually still had 1 night credit. We also received no compensation for this. The room was released on time and therefore available for re-letting. We had booked for the period from 17-9 to 21-9.
