Was suprised with an afternoon tea reservation by my partner at the Savoy this afternoon. It was my first ever in London and what a wonderful place to have this experience! We were warmly welcomed-the ambience was wonderful with a delightful floral decoration in the foyer. The sandwiches were light, sumptious and flavourful. We opted for the afternoon tea as opposed to the high tea, which was frankly the better option. The coronation chicken was especially delicious. The cakes were moist and creamy. The pianist provided a delightful ambience of contemporary and pop music. It was a wonderful experience overall
