Robin Waley Review of 889 Yonge
889 really offers a wholistic approach to yoga.

When I registered at this studio, I fell in love with yoga and meditation practice. The classes are accessible to all levels, with so much variety available to take your practice deeper, or take it lighter when you need to. The staff are friendly, the studio is CLEAN!!! modern, and big.
The instructors are fantastic too. Each one brings their own unique approach to their classes, and I really vibe on certain instructor's "class personality." There are instructors here you WILL connect with.
889 also has a super cute shop with great products where I've bought so many gifts for people, and items for myself.
This year, I also graduated from the 889 Living Yoga School. I finished the modules over 2 years, which was a fantastic option with my hectic work schedule - I couldn't have done it otherwise and am grateful 889 provides this option for some students. I highly recommend this Yoga School if you are looking to get more than just a physical education as a yoga instructor. The curriculum covers hours and hours on topics other trainings just skim over like Ayurveda, yoga philosophy, sanskrit, chanting, meditation, anatomy, self practice and more. I was also super impressed with the school's Faculty of leaders from the Toronto (and Canadian) yoga community. I am proud to be certified as a yoga instructor from 889 and to continue my yoga practice there.
I have tried other studios in the city, and they really just don't compare.
<3 889!
