I had very bad experience with this place. Salesperson (Rick) gave us a quote for a particular model and confirmed both on the phone and in text that they have what we wanted in stock. I made it clear that we are coming from out of town to pick it up and offered to give him my debit card number to hold the bike. After renting a trailer, driving half way through Oregon with my son and his friends to get his first bike Rick stated to us with straight face that he does not have it in stock. He did this even after even calling us in the morning and confirming that he has what we need and us making it clear that we are on our way to pick it up.
I don't understand how a reasonable person would do this to a ready to pay customer, and how Honda can lay its name and reputation to the hands of these kind of people. He showed us other models we have never asked for and did not want.
I understand that because of the pandemic dealers get more business they can handle but this is no way to treat a fellow human and a 14 years old boy who was exited to get his first bike. Hillsboro MotoSport will never see a dime from me even if they are the last dealers on Earth and I will draft a complaint to Honda Corporate too. I hope when sales start drying up they get what they deserve and starve.
There were other dealerships who had what we wanted a bit father away WA and CA now I have to arrange holds and trips all over because of their dishonesty.
