It s one of the famous tourist destinations near Cork and the kissing stone may be over crowded as most of the tourists go there to do that activity. So if you are going to do that make sure you leave early to the top and kiss the stone first! Take time to walk around the beautiful garden around the castle and you can see rare (banned) species plants. In my personal opinion, Spring and autumn are the best time to visit there.
