A beautiful music and events venue in the heart of Camden, a short walk from Chalk Farm tube station. Yes, it's round a therefore easily recognisable in an area mixing low Victorian terraces and small new builds. The architectural beauty of the building and the might of the main stage hit you hard once you step in. The Roundhouse is loved very much: you can feel it through and through. The old brick lovingly supported by new polished concrete slabs and the delicate Victorian ironwork securely resting on the base. There is laughter all over the place! Music comes from every corner and the happy faces slide show goes on...cosy and intimate inner space swallows you gently in and the show gets started.
The Roundhouse is small or big enough for the best intimate music experience, and its program varies throughout the year covering distinctive styles or events from contemporary music and drama to circus. They give the space to all to try, experiment, get in touch with the old, forgotten fans or blast through the new audience.
The Roundhouse is the ambassador for the Roundhouse Charity Trust, and its profits go to support young performing artist who use various recording studios within the main building.
There are two further performing rooms in the Roundhouse - a smaller studio on the ground floor fit for a boutique cinema and the stunning round also on the ground floor for talks or VIP meetings.
This is a fully accessible venue with a restaurant and bars on all floors. In the summer the Roundhouse extends and opens its terraces for additional, seasonal offers such as the vibrant Beach at the Roundhouse.
Inspiring, uplifting, vibrant and a happy venue also telling a unique Camden music history through a permanent exhibition within.
