Review of Hinshaws Acura

I recently had a terrible experience and wasted 4 days when I went to this dealer to buy a new Acura TLX 2018 AWD with Tech package. I initially test drove the car and had discussions regarding the color options and the price. The sales rep Hunter and the Manager Mike agreed to offer the car at an Out The Door price X with an initial down payment of $3000. As I liked the car and the quoted price was within my budget, I decided to buy it and provided them the details to do a credit check. I noticed the car had scratches on the sides and side bumper broken that I wanted them to fix before signing the contract.

The next day I was on a call throughout the day with almost all the sales representatives of Hinshaws with each person giving me a varied opinion on when the issues will be fixed. But, they just wanted me to come and sign the contract irrespective of when the issues could get sorted out.

I do not understand how a dealership would take more than a week to do a paint job on the scratches of a new car. Does this mean that customers would need to wait for the same amount of time for car services ?

I was eventually convinced to sign the contract without the issues fixed fully but with a condition mentioning that the contract would be void if the dealership would fix the issues in the new car within a week after I buy it.

The next day I went to the dealer to sign the contract and take the car out. I was shocked to see the price specification mentioning that the down payment of $3000 is not counted as part of the Out The Door price.

I guess they have their own definition of what Out The Door price means.

If you are planning to buy a car from this dealer, I'd highly suggest you to carefully look into each document and also for any issues in the car, before you authorize them to do a credit check.
