Came for an interview. The panel was nice enough, but severely lacked professionalism.
I was called for a phone interview, and was later called to come in for a face-to-face interview.
During my first interview, I was asked about FMEA, but was unfamiliar with the acronym. Of the 4 people interviewing me, only 1 person knew what it stood for; Failure Mode Effect Analysis.
Once stated in its word form, I grasped what they were asking about.
After the conclusion of my first interview, I was called to come in for a second interview. During my second interview, I brought 3 examples of myself using this in design teams that I lead.
At the end of the second interview, I was doted on a bit for explaining my processes clearly and effectively.
I was then told, via Compass Tech, that I did not receive the position because I did not know FMEA...
Again, I had brought in 3 examples of myself using this process in, one form or another, to showcase this. Secondly, if this this was a concern of theirs during my FIRST interview , why invite me in for a SECOND interview? Lastly, I was called for my phone interview, called to come in for the first interview, called to come in for a second interview, BUT NOT CALLED TO RECEIVE FEEDBACK. This is EXTREMELY unprofessional.
It seems that the panel was comfortable chatting with me, but feared giving feedback. This should NOT happen in a multi-million international company whom is hiring for a salaried role.
